Bicho Palo

Bicho Palo is a new winery created by a group of friends from Jumilla, Murcia. They contacted me before their first harvest in order to create their brand identity and assets, including their logo and the label for their first wine.


One of the core attributes the clients wanted to highlight with their brand was the importance of protecting the biodiversity of their vineyard. Respecting the natural ecosystem created around it is even reflected on the naming, as “bicho palo” means stick-bug in Spanish, and it is one of the insects they saw when they first visited the land. 

I kept this in mind while designing a simple and elegant brand. This is shown in the selection of colors related to nature and the use of geometric shapes that remind of crop rows.
